Jordi Xumetra is a professional footballer born in L´Estartit and also known as 'La bala de L'Estartit.'

His childhood was spent between Torroella and L´Estartit.

He studied primary and secondary school at the Sant Gabriel School in Torroella de Montgrí.

When he turned 15 he moved to Barcelona to be able to combine his studies and his great passion, football.

He lived and coexists with other colleagues in the residence of FC Barcelona, La Masia.

He is privileged of having played in the highest category of state football and being able to enjoy stadiums such as the Bernabeu, Camp Nou, Bilbao and Calderón, and many others.

Jordi started playing soccer at the age of 5 in the village team, in the UE Torroella (now Baix Ter).

In Torroella he is from the stage of prebenjamines to the first year of juvenile.

Already when he was very young, he stood out and was summoned to go with the Girona provincial team to carry out different tournaments.

The most powerful teams in the area followed him and at the age of 11 they proposed to go to Peralada.

A year later he decided to go to FE Figueres where he spended the stage of children and cadets. He spended a total of 4 years playing in the top categories of Catalan grassroots football.

In 2001, the proposal he most longed for and dreamed about came true, he got to play for FC Barcelona.

Here he shared a locker room and equipment with proven players today such as LEO MESSI, GERARD PIQUE, JORDI GÓMEZ among many other great players.

He played for FC Barcelona for 4 years. He left with great experiences and knows that football continues outside the great house called Barça. He is prepared for professional soccer.
